I have implemented a rep system which rewards your posting by giving you rep points. These rep points add on to your rep bar. For every 100 rep points you get you will get some of your rep bar filled. Rep isn't only awarded for posting. It can also be given by your fellow forum members if they like something you posted and decide to rep you.  Also to increase forum activity I am holding a rep contest. First to get two squares on their rep bar (200 rep points). Will win  $50 worth of steam games courtesy of me.

1 post = 1 rep point
1 new thread = 2 rep points
Members can add 1 rep point at a time to others
mods and admins can add or remove 1 rep point at a time to others
15 rep points = 1 rep power
100 rep points = 1 square on rep bar

Steam message me for more Info on the contest.
Happy repping.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

In order for rep to be open to you, you need to have at least 5 posts.

I have 5 posts, but I cannot figure out a way to give rep to someone.

I still cannot seem to add rep...
Also, reputation power is showing up as 0 for everyone when I look at their posts.
However, whenever I view their profile -- their AO Rep number is not necessarily 0.

That is really odd. I'll try to fix that.

Is it because I'm a server admin?
I believe that's a fourth group (apart from regular users, administrators, and moderators).

try now, but idk about the differences in rep

EDIT: THE PROFILE SHOWS YOUR REP POINTS. THE THING UNDER YOUR NAME SHOWS REP POWER 1 power for 50 points. although i will probably make the points for power much lower maybe 10 or 15

I now see the link to add rep points to people for their posts.
However, clicking it doesn't appear to do anything.
Hmmm...rep power...so...if my rep power was 2...would that mean every person I repped would get 2 points?
Would a rep power of 0 confer 0 points?
Or am I misunderstanding how this system works...

A-ha.
My pop-up blocker is catching the pop-up window.
Right-clicking and opening in a new tab worked fine.
So, unblocking it should fix my issues.

Thanks!

// Edit

Also, would it be possible to replace the text Add Reputation link with an icon?
It is down in the little area where everything else is a cute lil icon.

// Another Edit

This thread belongs in the Announcements subforum.

// Yet Another Edit

For what it is worth, you can give someone rep for a post they didn't make...
The format of the URL for adding rep is:
http://aotf2.com/forums/index.php?action=reputation;uid=171;m=15690;topic=1098.0;sesc=4e4b0d025bdb4b259e21c069a8df43c7

Where uid = the user ID, m = the message ID, topic = the topic ID, and sesc = the session ID.
Copy and paste the Add Reputation from a post and change out the uid.
Don't worry -- you still cannot give yourself reps. Smiley
You can also edit the URL to give reps that are not attached to any topic or post.

// One More Thing

You can view your reps in your profile.
This is where you see comments other people left while repping you.
